Mijnmaatschappij (mining company) has an example function for export options

WILLEMSTAD - Tonight at the WTC will be the kickoff of the National Export Awareness Week. There will be several speakers, such as Caryl Monte, Chairman of the Standing Committee on International Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Marcos Cova, Vice-Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Wilson Rojas Vanegas Governor of the Colombian department of La Guajira.

The Mijnmaatschappij (mining company) is an example of a company that shows that Curaçao can export. The company, which is more than a hundred years old, supplies raw materials for the production of glass bottles all the way to Mexico.

Chicken farms in Guyana also use lime products from the mining company. For Agriculture, the phosphate from the Curaçao company is processed into fertilizer, which also goes abroad.

Minister of Economic Development, Kenneth Gijsbertha, who will be opening the National Export Awareness Week tonight at the World Trade Center, was therefore very pleased with the fact that Mijnmaatschappij held open days last weekend, not only to let the public get acquainted with its activities but also with those of local producers, many of whom are already exporting.
