WILLEMSTAD - The Meteorological Service warns of extreme heat in Curaçao. That applied yesterday afternoon, again today.

The heat has to do with the fact that the sun is directly above the island and shines brighter than other months in the year. The humidity is also higher than normal. Although there was wind yesterday, it didn't bring the necessary cooling.
