Meeting between Prime Minister and U.S. Consul-General

WILLEMSTAD - According to Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas he has been invited to 'pay an official visit to the United States'. He reports this on his social media after a visit by the U.S. Consul General to the Prime Minister.

It was an introductory meeting, although Consul General Allen Greenberg said goodbye almost simultaneously.

First an official part with coat and tie in the government center Fort Amsterdam, but then, without a coat and tie, a ride in Bándabou, towards Westpunt ending with a meal at Playa Fòrti.

In his notes, Pisas says that as Prime Minister, he has been invited to visit the US USFOL (Forward Operating Location) base at Curacao's Hato Airport, as well as an official visit to the U.S.

The meeting between Pisas and Greenberg - who was joined by two other U.S. officials - took place last Sunday. "The purpose of the consul-general's visit was to get to know the Prime Minister, but at the same time to talk about a number of things.
