MCB introduces contactless payment

WILLEMSTAD - It has been in the running for a while in the Netherlands, but Curaçao is now also introducing contactless payments. The Maduro & Curiel’s Bank (MCB) is the first to introduce this on the island. In the coming weeks the ATMs on the island will be replaced with one that can handle the new bank cards.

For the time being the limit has been set at 100 guilders. Most bank cards already have this option, recognizable by the green logo on the top right of the card.
