WILLEMSTAD - The MCB Bank has extended the mortgage relief by three months. Commercial and private mortgage holders do not have to pay interests or monthly fees in June, July, and August.

There is also no need to repay and pay interest on personal loans for the next three months.

The largest bank on the island hopes to give the residents of Curaçao some time to get their finances in order. In contrast to the first three months, clients must now apply for this extension themselves, before 12 June. They can do this on the MCB website.
