WILLEMSTAD - The majority of staff at the Tax Office are still at home.

They do not yet have a new workplace after an explosion and fire largely destroyed the building on Regentesselaan. The damage is greater than initially thought.

One man has been arrested and is detained on Bonaire for his safety. The police are investigating the involvement of four employees of the tax authorities.

The Minister of Finance, Kenneth Gijsbertha indicated that a committee has been installed to find a proper place for the tax office where most of the 200 employees can work. Hopefully, the committee will present its findings at the beginning of next week.
