WILLEMSTAD - Venezuelan-American CEO Luis Giusti seems to have left Caribbean Petroleum Refinery (CPR). Giusti’s name no longer appears in the registry of Curaçao’s Chamber of Commerce.
The preferred bidder and intended operator of the oil refinery is managed by the Curaçao representative Erchenal Doran. Venezuelans Alberto Marquez Bustos and Raul Ignacio Socorro Herrera are also registered as directors.
Giuisti was the face of Caribbean Petroleum Refinery with whom the Curaçao Refinery (RdK) is negotiating for the takeover of the refinery. He has held several top positions within the petroleum industry. For example, he was president of the Venezuelan state company PdVSA and director of the American subsidiary Citgo.
