Luigi Faneyte leaves KUMUN

WILLEMSTAD - Luigi Faneyte has announced today that he has stepped down as the leader of the KUMUN party. He thanks all 1,595 people who voted for KUMUN on March 19 and says he continues as an independent professional in politics.

KUMUN's main goal was to make Curaçao a fully-fledged municipality of the Netherlands. The party said it wanted to work on a referendum for this, but received too few votes for a seat in parliament.
