Local business owners lose confidence in economy

WILLEMSTAD - More than half of the local business owners have lost confidence in the economy. This is evident from the business survey of the Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS). 42 percent had little confidence in the economy in 2018, compared to 55 percent this year. Two percent of the respondents say they have faith in the economy.

Nevertheless, there is still confidence in the future: 45 percent of the business owners still see a positive future. 24 percent do not have confidence in the future. The rest could not answer this question.
