LGBTQI+ Allies Conference begins December 2 in Curaçao

WILLEMSTAD - From December 2 to 4, the LGBTQI+ Allies Conference will take place at the Kura Hulanda Conference Center on Curaçao. Organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations, the event brings together a diverse group of participants, including activists, policymakers, researchers, artists, and community leaders. 

The conference focuses on promoting inclusion and diversity, offering a platform for dialogue, inspiration, and collaboration. Over three days, attendees will address the challenges faced by the LGBTQI+ community while celebrating their achievements. 

More than 20 speakers will contribute to the program, including Janice Tjon Sien Kie, Chair of Human Rights Caribbean and activist; Marlon Reina, Chair of Fundashon Orguyo Kòrsou (FOKO); and Remco Boxelaar, founder of Corporate Queer. The event will be moderated by Vincent Storimans, Deputy Representative of the Netherlands in Aruba. In addition to keynote speeches, the conference will feature workshops and networking opportunities.
