WILLEMSTAD - The last of four diesel generators for the new power plant on the Dokweg arrived yesterday.

This brings the total capacity of the power plant to almost 40 megawatts.

The construction involves an investment of 70 million guilders. Curaçao consumes around 128 megawatts daily and can produce 168 megawatts with this new plant.

The plant opens in February.
