WILLEMSTAD - The 2810 ASD tug 'Tribon' left today to Suriname for an important job. Upon arrival in Suriname the tugboat and crew of KTK will be engaged in towing oil platforms for a duration of three months.

KTK management has been focusing on projects abroad to survive the financial crisis Curaçao is going through right now. KTK depended heavily upon maritime activities at Bullen Bay and the refinery which are currently inoperative due to the situation in Venezuela.

In October, KTK expects to send more tug boats to Suriname. The local Suriname company EMAR Offshore Services N.V. has facilitated the contact between KTK and the client responsible for the platform.
