WILLEMSTAD - As part of its ongoing commitment to a sustainable future, Kooyman has joined forces with the J.W.Th. Schotborgh School and the Hòfi Chikí Foundation. This initiative underscores their dedication to environmental and educational themes. Recently celebrating its 85th anniversary, Kooyman aims to express its gratitude and appreciation to the Curaçao community through this meaningful gift. The collaboration offers a unique opportunity to make this vision a reality.

A Tiny Forest provides schoolchildren with a healthy, educational, and interactive learning environment, enabling them to engage with nature in a tangible and constructive way. By involving children in themes such as sustainability and environmental awareness, this initiative invests in a future generation that will act responsibly toward the world around them.
As a neighborhood school deeply rooted in the community, the Schotborgh School has been actively promoting recycling, environmental awareness, and reducing its ecological footprint for years. By creating a Tiny Forest in their schoolyard, the three partners strengthen their mission to raise awareness among students about critical societal issues such as climate change and nature conservation.
The Hòfi Chikí Foundation plays a crucial role in this project with its dedication to nature conservation and reforestation. Their mission, which includes contributing to a healthy and sustainable future through Tiny Forests featuring native plants, aligns perfectly with Kooyman’s “Go Green” initiative.
“Our collaboration with Hòfi Chikí and the Schotborgh School aligns with our policy to make meaningful contributions to society,” said Juri Kooyman. “This project represents a tangible step in our commitment to corporate social responsibility and sustainability. Together, we are building a greener future for Curaçao’s youth.”
