WILLEMSTAD - Refineria di Korsou (RdK) can face a claim from its former takeover candidate Klesch group. According to the company, RdK / CRU entered into custody agreements without Klesch's consent. RdK, in turn, claims the costs incurred to bring in the new operator.
Klesch was to take over the refinery in mid-2020 but withdrew. In their own words because of the corona pandemic.
Klesch now objects to entering into the oil storage agreements. This mainly concerned the storage of oil products at Bullen Bay. RdK says it does not require permission to enter into storage agreements. It is not known exactly what the claim entails.
RdK in turn says it has incurred high costs to bring in Klesch and want to recover it from the German multinational. Prime Minister Rhuggenaath says that he hopes that Klesch and RdK will come together and settle the matter amicably.
