WILLEMSTAD - The Kitten Café of Kitten Rescue Curaçao is permanently closing its doors. According to the organization, the reason for the closure is the success of the shelter attracting too many visitors. Kitten Rescue Curaçao announced this decision. 

Since the closure of the Parera shelter, Kitten Rescue has been taking in more kittens and cats. "We also need to consider the welfare of the animals in our care. The Kitten Café in its current form will not return," stated the organization. 

Kitten Rescue is considering other options. "We are thinking about this and will most likely come up with an alternative later, which better aligns with our goals of promoting adoptions and generating donations."
