King devotes 18 seconds to Dutch Caribbean in his national speech

Throne: “Economic security and social stability”

THE HAGUE - The Netherlands wants to support the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom because of the corona crisis. The aim is to contribute to future economic security and social stability.

That is what King Willem Alexander says in the speech from the throne today which is traditionally the opening of the parliamentary year in the Netherlands.

What support and under what conditions is the subject of discussion. Humanitarian support is always available. Later today it will become clear how much money will be involved.
