WILLEMSTAD - This Saturday the KÄRCHER Triathlon will take place at the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort. The triathlon has been organized at the resort for 9 years and is known by athletes as the triathlon of the year, crowning the Curacao National Triathlon Champions!
Since 2018, KÄRCHER together with Caribbean Fasteners has been the main sponsor of the event, the organization is in the hands of Team Endurance Curaçao (TEC). The athletes will compete on Saturday afternoon in the Olympic Distances; 1.5 km swimming in Spanish Water Bay, 40 km cycling on the beautiful roads of Mijnmaatschappij and 10 km running on the peninsula of Seru Boca Estate.
The swimmers kick off the race at 3 p.m. Registration is still possible at www.karchertriathlon.com for both individuals and relay teams. Spectators and supporters are welcome to come and watch, admission to the resort is free, but showing a valid ID is mandatory.
At the same time as the triathlon there will be a Kids Sports Festival on Barbara Beach, whereby 100 children registered in 6 days and is now sold out. In addition, there will be a bar, BBQ, DJ and many fun things to do. It promises to be a sporty, family friendly, pleasant afternoon.
