Kaminata Yu i Tata, the Child and Father Walk of Child First Foundation emphasizes relation between child and father

WILLEMSTAD - Kaminata Yu i Tata, the annual walk of Child First Foundation, that emphasizes the importance for a child to have a father actively involved in its life, starts at 6 o’clock in the morning from the parking lot of SVB at the Pater Eeuwensweg on Sunday November 17th , 2019.

Last year the Child and Father walk was a huge success. Board member Ryan de Jongh gave the start sign to more or less 500 participants at exactly 6 o’clock in the morning. Many children walked the 7 kilometers from SVB to After School Academy at Manhattanweg 6a in Buena Vista with the help of their father, mother or other participants who care about the wellbeing of the children.

Child First Foundation, that celebrates its 10th anniversary on November 9 th , 2019, invites the entire community to participate and by doing so to contribute to the children of the After School Academy in Buena Vista.

The students of the After School Academy receive a healthy warm meal every mid-day before they start with their After School classes. After eating the healthy lunch, the children follow lessons in a holistic approach that are adapted to the specific needs of the students. The main subjects are voluntary work, social and emotional abilities, meditation, English, sports and expressive subjects like handcraft and drama. These are all subjects that help children to develop into Mindful, Purposeful, Productive and Happy world citizens.
