Jamaloodin’s lawyer opens attack on judges

WILLEMSTAD - Lawyer Eldon ‘Peppie’ Sulvaran starts an open attack on the Court of Justice in Curaçao. In an opinion contribution in the Dutch morning newspaper Antilliaans Dagblad, the lawyer asks who is protecting his client, former minister of finance George Jamaloodin, from the judges in Curaçao.

According to Sulvaran, these judges meet each other in the hallway and at the coffee machine, so they cannot look at things without prejudice. Jamaloodin was sentenced to 28 years in prison on Friday, but he is not going to serve them, Sulvaran says.
