Inspector-General Huurman contract terminated

WILLEMSTAD - The contract with Inspector General Jan Huurman expired in mid-February. This was announced by Huurman himself.

The Inspector General and Health Inspector left the island in 2013 due to problems with the then health minister Dr. Bernhard Whiteman. Health Minister Suzy Camelia Romer then brought him back.

However, a fuss about pediatrician Sonia Faries arose in October, after which it was decided that Huurman will be suspended. His contract, however, continued. Huurman now says that a solution has been found that both parties are satisfied with and that he is no longer working on the island.
