Identification obligation for Curaçao tax authorities

Local | By Correspondent November 7, 2022

WILLEMSTAD - The State Receiver and the Tax Inspectorate have introduced an identification obligation. The reason is a large number of complaints about the lack of identification of tax authorities.

All employees must visibly wear a name card within the building, which is provided with a passport photo stating their first name, last name, and position.

For telephone interviews, correspondence via e-mail, or other correspondence with customers, employees must state their first and last name, position, e-mail address, and direct telephone number.

This does not apply to the automated letters and assessments sent by the tax authorities.
