WILLEMSTAD - The hunger strike of 12 Venezuelans in the SDKK prison entered its fourth day today. Nine of them have been detained for more than half a year, while they have applied for political asylum from the Curaçao government.

They want a definitive answer from the minister or at least be released to await that decision. Curaçao law states that a person may be detained for a maximum of 6 months, but the Minister of Justice does not want to let them go.
