WILLEMSTAD - A high-pressure system over the western Caribbean Sea is bringing cloud cover and moderate winds to the ABC Islands, as well as rain and thunderstorms, according to the Meteorological Department of Curaçao.
This unstable weather pattern is expected to persist in the coming days, increasing the likelihood of rain showers accompanied by thunder. Wind speeds are anticipated to remain generally light to moderate, while coastal swells may begin to subside. Minimum temperatures are forecasted at 27°C, with highs reaching up to 31°C.
On Wednesday afternoon, heavy rainfall caused flooding in several areas of Biesheuvel. The Meteorological Department reported that Ser’i Kokori recorded the highest rainfall, with 17.4 millimeters.
