WILLEMSTAD - A dispute over an old debt between two men escalated into a head-on collision and a vehicle fire on Orchillaweg on Monday. The police were called around 6:25 AM and found that the conflict had arisen from a financial issue. 

After the disagreement, both men left the scene, but shortly thereafter, they were involved in a head-on collision with their vehicles. This led to a physical altercation between the two, during which one of the vehicles caught fire. 

One of the individuals involved sustained injuries from the fight and was transported by ambulance to the Curaçao Medical Center (CMC) for medical treatment. 

The police arrested a 50-year-old man born in Curaçao at the scene in connection with the incident. The suspect was presented to a deputy public prosecutor, who ordered his provisional detention pending further investigation.
