WILLEMSTAD - The New York Yankees defeated the Minnesota Twins in their hometown on Saturday thanks to a grand slam by Didi Gregorius.

The Yankees struck in the third inning, when a 1-0 lead was increased to 7-0. Gregorius was responsible for this. The Amsterdammer with Curaçaoan roots was subsequently given a standing ovation.
