WILLEMSTAD - On Friday, September 17, Governor L.A. George-Wout received the Curaçao Olympic athletes Terrence Agard, Ramsey Angela, Liemarvin Bonevacia, Taymir Burnet, Enrico La Cruz, Philip Elhage, Chris Garia, Churandy Martina and Hensley Paulina.

Apart from Philip Elhage, who played for Aruba, these top athletes were part of TeamNL at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The athletes were accompanied during this visit by Mr. Thakaidzwa Doran (Curacao Athlete Development Foundation). At the reception, the Governor addressed the athletes personally and expressed her appreciation for their achievements.

The Governor stated that athletes contributed to the most successful Games for the Kingdom ever. With their top performance, the athletes have shown how the countries of the Kingdom can reach great heights by joining forces.
