WILLEMSTAD, PORT AU PRINCE - The Curaçao keeper Jarzinho Pieter has suddenly died. The 31-year-old soccer player was with the national team in Haiti, where they were preparing to play another match against the Haitian team. But things went wrong. He told the team’s doctor that he wasn’t feeling very well and after a medical examination he went to bed. He never woke up.
Pieter is reserve keeper of the national team. He was also the keeper of champion Vesta. He did not play during the game against Haiti.
What he died of is unknown.
