Germain Gibbs Manager Communication and Information CMC (press release)

WILLEMSTAD - Germaine Gibbs (44) joined Curaçao Medical Center on 1 February 2020 as Communication and Information Manager. Gibbs comes from IBIS Management Associates, where she worked as "Vice President Marketing and Business Development" for almost five years. Before that, she held various Marketing and Business Development positions in both Curaçao and the United States, where communication was important at all times. In the United States, Gibbs has worked as a Category Manager for one of the largest pharmacy chains. She was also the owner of "Awa, a Spa and Wellness Sanctuary" for almost 10 years. During that period she also held the position of "Vice President Sales" for a medical technology company.

Germaine Gibbs holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Economics from Point Park University in Pittsburgh and an MBA in Marketing, Finance and International Business from University of South Florida, Tampa. Gibbs was a member of the Supervisory Board of Curacao Tourism Development Foundation until October 2019. Gibbs is a board member of the Children's Museum Curaçao. After having lived in the US for nearly 20 years, Gibbs decided to return to Curaçao eight years ago to contribute to the development of her native country and community.

After an extensive recruitment and selection process and intensive "screening", carried out by Global Resourcing, CMC opted for Germaine Gibbs. As Communication and Information Manager at CMC, Gibbs will be responsible for both the internal and external communication of the hospital. As a member of the management team, she will act as communication advisor to the Executive Board. Based on her personality, her track record in the field of Communication and Marketing both locally and internationally and the right interpersonal skills she has, CMC sees in her the suitable candidate to be able to perform the position in a dignified manner. For Gibbs, the appointment at Curaçao Medical Center is a new challenge in a familiar environment: "The circle is complete. The CMC, as a state-of-the-art hospital, plays a central role in health care on our island and has the potential to attract regional medical tourism. The CMC will thus make an important contribution to the economy of Curaçao. I am very proud that I can contribute to that. "

The management of HNO and the Board of Directors of CMC are grateful for the services provided by Clifton Wallé, Senior Strategic Communication Advisor for the Hospital Nobo Otrobanda project during the 18-month period. Wallé informed the management that after the successful relocation of 15 di November last and the first weeks of a running Curaçao Medical Center, he had fulfilled the mission for which he was hired. In addition to serving other customers, Wallé will take on a new challenge as Chief Customer Officer (CCO) at Profound.

At the request of the CMC management, he will assist CMC for a short period if necessary.
