KRALENDIJK - On Bonaire this weekend it became known that GP Hermelijn has become infected with Covid-19.

Normally, the privacy of patients is respected, but in this case, the Bonairean General Practitioners Association, the Bonaire General Practitioner Post and the Public Health Department announced that doctor Hermelijn has tested positive for Covid-19. Mandatory isolation and quarantine for all personnel have been imposed on him by the Public Health Department.

His practice will be closed for 14 days. As a result, Doctor Hermelijn's patients are cared for by fellow GPs for a period of 14 days. Patients can be assured that the continuity of care is guaranteed for them by the help of all fellow GPs, as announced last weekend.
