WILLEMSTAD - Four Venezuelan women have escaped the Immigration Service at Hato.

The four had no papers and were locked up in anticipation of their flight back to Venezuela. The immigration officers did not believe it to be necessary to take them to the foreigners’ barracks at the prison since their flight was early in the morning.

On security cameras, it can be seen how the four with help from the inside were picked up with a car from the platform. The car drove away through the staff exit. This clearly indicates that it is an inside job.

Authorities have already started an investigation.
