Four military officers arrested for drug possession

WILLEMSTAD - The Royal Police (Marechaussee) arrested four military officers in Curaçao this morning for the use and possession of narcotics. It concerns two 23-year-old men and men aged 22 and 29.

The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee reports this on Facebook. The four men were arrested red-handed this morning at the military base with the permission of the Public Prosecution Service (OM).

In this case, the Marechaussee previously arrested two other officers in Curaçao. The drug investigation led by the Public Prosecution Service continues. The Marechaussee does not rule out the possibility that more people will be arrested in this case.

Defense has a 'zero tolerance policy' regarding drugs. This means that officers are also prosecuted if they have smaller quantities of drugs for their own use, the so-called user quantities.
