Local | By Correspondent May 1, 2024

WILLEMSTAD - Last week, the Consumers Union of Curaçao met with the management team of telecommunication company FLOW. The meeting aimed to discuss the numerous complaints that consumers have expressed regarding FLOW's products and services, as outlined in a letter from the foundation to the company.

The discussions took place in a constructive atmosphere, allowing Fundashon pa Konsumidó the opportunity to address all points they believe need improvement. The press release from the Consumers Union does not specify which points those are.

According to the union, FLOW's management was receptive to the feedback and acknowledged the raised issues, promising swift improvements in some areas. Other matters, such as updates to FLOW's infrastructure, require more time to resolve.

FLOW also shared their plans to enhance communication with their customers. This includes providing better information on the effective use of their products and services to prevent misunderstandings and disappointments. Additionally, FLOW is working on a structured and targeted approach to address customer complaints.

The tariff increases, which FLOW says have become unavoidable due to global inflation, were also discussed. According to FLOW, these increases are necessary to sustain operations.

The meeting concluded with the commitment that FLOW will focus on more effective and transparent communication. Fundashon pa Konsumidó will closely monitor developments to ensure consumer rights are protected.
