WILLEMSTAD - Yesterday afternoon the RCC observed a suspicious vessel at Caracas Bay. The vessel with three people on board was from Bonaire. Due to suspicious circumstances, the RCC dispatched a Metal Shark patrol to Caracasbaai.

The fishing boat was found at the fishing port at Caracasbaai. Upon arrival, the Metal Shark team boarded to check the boat and the crew. During the check, three bags with different packages were found, probably with narcotic drugs.

The three persons on board were immediately arrested and the fishing boat was sailed by the Coast Guard personnel to the jetty of the Curaçao support center.

All three suspected men and suspected drugs have been handed over to the KPC investigation team for further investigation.
