WILLEMSTAD - Aqualectra will provide less Christmas lighting during the holidays in the city center. Due to the financial situation of the utility company, only the Christmas tree in Punda will be decorated this year.

The utility company writes in a press release that major challenges have arisen this year, whereby Aqualectra has received less income. At the same time, major investments were made that were necessary for the energy and water supply on the island.

Due to the financial difficulties, a contribution to the Christmas decorations of Willemstad has been limited and there will be less lighting this year.
