WILLEMSTAD - The government is again warning consumers to pay close attention to prices this month. As was announced, the prices were supposed to increase due to excise and sales tax measures. This was supposed to take place on August 1.

But its introduction has been postponed. The reason is that the laws that must regulate all this are not yet ready. This is followed by an advisory process and treatment in parliament for adoption.

The Ministry of Finance is now considering September 1 as the new starting date.
