Employees InselAir want clarity

WILLEMSTAD – The employees of the embattled local airline InselAir want to know what will happen with their jobs and with the airline. They feel insecure about the future now that it appears that interCaribbean Airways has not presented a bank guarantee letter.

The union representing these employees invited them all for a meeting today at 6:30 in their headquarters.

Rogier van den Heuvel, superintendent in the suspension of payment of InselAir, and Etienne Ys will also be present. Ys is chairman of the committee that conducts negotiations on behalf of the government for the acquisition of the airline. The union leaders mainly expect a clear explanation from Van den Heuvel.

The administrator plays an important role that has led to the current situation. He has chosen to continue negotiations with inter-Caribbean.
