THE HAGUE - If the Parliament of Curaçao wants the Dutch House of Representatives to do something with the documents sent to them, it helps if they are provided with a Dutch translation.
The Parliamentary Committee for Kingdom Relations will convey this message to colleagues in Willemstad via the registry. The request was prompted by various Papiamento-language motions that were sent to The Hague after they had been adopted in Parliament. If Parliament expects MPs to do something with it, it must send a translation along with it, according to the committee, which is unwilling to look for a translator.
