The Lidar Windmeter Technology is an instrument with which the wind can be measured with exact precision and up to a height of 200 meters. This device gives a clear picture of the location where the highest wind speed takes place. DuraRenewable will start to carry out the measurements in the short term. To collect as much data as possible, a second Lidar Wind Meter will be installed in a different location in the coming months. Once DuraRenewable staff have completed their training for the Lidar, the device will be used in the Caribbean for large projects where wind measurement is essential.
