WILLEMSTAD - Creating impact is paramount in everything Dolphin Suites does. Earlier this year, the hotel celebrated the grand opening of its new wing. However, the efforts didn't stop there. Over the past two months, the hotel renovated its old wing. What happens to the old furnishings? They lovingly donate them to Hamied Foundation, which can use the furniture to furnish its care facilities.

Dolphin Suites repainted the old section, tackled plumbing and electrical work, and upgraded the air conditioning systems. With such a thorough renovation, a stylish new interior was a must. The twelve suites, two studios, six rooms, and one apartment in the old wing now look as sleek as the new wing. The hotel is unified and ready to welcome guests in the upcoming high season.
The old wing's furniture is being fully donated to the Hamied Foundation. This foundation is dedicated to the well-being of various groups in our community, currently focusing on the health and care of the elderly. Recently, the foundation has also been approached to provide shelter for young people who need institutional care for various reasons.
"The furniture is very useful for us!" says Tessa de Haas, Director of Hamied Foundation. "Especially the beds for our Hospice (terminal care), which allow family members to stay overnight easily. But also for the rooms we need to set up for young people. We are very grateful for the support from Dolphin Suites."
Yesterday, two full containers were delivered by Dolphin Suites to Hamied's location on Jan Noorduynweg. With the help of a group of volunteers, the containers were unloaded, and many pieces of furniture have already found a place in one of the Hamied Foundation's care facilities.
Dolphin Suites & Wellness continues to enable extraordinary experiences, embrace innovation, and make a positive impact on the community.
