WILLEMSTAD - Defense spokeswoman Canan Babayigit responded yesterday to reports about the attempted smuggling of drugs at Parera naval base, which was discovered on June 28.

Recently it was reported by other medias that it would be almost 600 kilos of drugs. According to the Ministry of Defense, that number is incorrect. Babyigit has admitted that it concerns a very large number of drugs.

Furthermore, according to her, there is currently a major investigation into the attempted smuggling. That is the reason that little information is released.
