WILLEMSTAD - Defense will carry out exercises off the coast of Curaçao in the coming days until the end of the week. Boat troops will then be active during different parts of the day, in both day and night and on and near various bays and beaches, such as the Caracas Bay.

During the training sessions, practice ammunition is fired for a realistic experience. The sound and the flash correspond well to a 'sharp' pattern, but no bullets come out of the barrel.

Any nuisance will be kept to a minimum, says the Ministry of Defense.
