WILLEMSTAD - On January 1, at a quarter past four in the morning a shooting took place at nightclub Vanilla on the Schottegatweg-Oost. In connection with the shooting, a 32-year-old man was arrested who had the initials R.V. The man was born in the Netherlands, the police announced.

Several bullets were found on the site. The police are investigating the case. There were no further injuries in the shooting. Several media reported yesterday during the day that the famous Curaçao rapper Rich Kalash was arrested in connection with the shooting. Kalash then commented on social media that this was not the case. He fiercely criticized the media that would have incorrectly linked him to the shooting.
