D66 and PvdA ask questions for the Ombudsman's report

THE HAGUE - The Dutch political parties D66 and PvdA want to know what their government is going to do to tackle poverty among the elderly on the BES islands (Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba).

According to the National Ombudsman, 2,500 elderly people have to make a living with an income that is below the poverty line. The parties also want to know which recommendations from the report are adopted by the Undersecretary of Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops.
