Curfew to be lifted at 4 am, the islands were spared

WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Gilmar Pisas says he's a little more relaxed. The danger has passed. Pisas explains that based on the map there was a constant formation of an eye around the three islands. “Since we are off the coast of Venezuela, it prevented the storm from developing,” says Pisas.

According to the Prime Minister we have to take into account a number of points. As of June 1, the hurricane season has been announced to start and few precautions have been taken by the community. “We need to prepare better. In addition, we must trust our Meteorological Service and express less criticism, says Pisas. He calls on the population to follow the instructions of the authorities more closely in the future. He is referring to the setting of an earlier daytime clock instead of the curfew from 4 p.m.

Pisas says the curfew will be lifted at 4 a.m. Thursday morning. Schools will remain closed, but work will be resumed.

Code orange will take effect and the warning is no longer in effect. Shelters close at 11 pm. Pisas reminds everyone that a lot of rain fell during the passage of the tail of tropical storm Tomas in 2010.

The government thanked the emergency team. Pisas says he is proud of the team. He also thanked everyone who helped during this crisis. He also thanked the people for their patience.
