WILLEMSTAD – The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport (OWCS) has introduced an updated personnel module within the Central National Education Application (CLOA), the government announced in a press release.
According to the government, the upgrade strengthens the digitalization of the education sector and provides both the ministry and school boards with direct access to up-to-date, reliable personnel data. This will enable better-informed strategic decisions regarding staffing and lay the foundation for more transparent and equitable education funding.
"The new module significantly reduces administrative burdens. Changes such as new hires and job modifications will now be processed digitally, securely, and without errors. This is expected to improve efficiency and allow education professionals to focus more on their core task: delivering high-quality education," the statement said.
The personnel module was designed to be user-friendly and was tested in collaboration with education professionals.
As a next step, the ministry plans to integrate the system with AFAS, allowing automatic data synchronization and further reducing reporting obligations for schools.
