Curaçao welcomes Colombian ship with fruits and vegetables

WILLEMSTAD - Because Venezuela maintains a closed border, the ABC islands have now gone to other countries for their supply of fruit and vegetables.

Last Wednesday, a first 60-tonne transport from Colombia was welcomed by ministers Armin Konket (acting Economic Development) and Marilyn Alcala-Walle (Culture) and Governor Wilson Rojas Vanegas of the province of La Guajira.

Curaçao will continue to import products from La Guajira, Colombia while there is also the opportunity to export local products to the Colombian region.
