Curaçao want temporary exemption from strict budgetary standards to invest

WILLEMSTAD - Member of the Dutch Parliament for the CDA party Chris van Dam has sent a letter to Undersecretary Raymond Knops of the Interior and Kingdom Relations. Van Dam wants to know more about the letter that the government of Curaçao has sent to the Kingdom Council of Ministers, asking for the application of Article 25 of the Curaçao and Sint Maarten Financial Supervision Act.

Curaçao wants a temporary exemption from the strict budget norms in order to be able to invest in the economy.

Van Dam wants the Second Chamber of the Dutch Parliament to be able to view that letter. He also wants to know how the Kingdom Council of Ministers will answer this request.
