PHILIPSBURG - The delegations of the parliaments of Curaçao, Aruba and Sint Maarten are against the proposal of the Netherlands about a dispute arrangement. That says parliamentarian Ana-Maria Pauletta (photo) in a press release.
According to Member of Parliament for the coalition party PAR, the proposal is unacceptable. In 2015, the four parliaments of the Kingdom put forward a proposal for such an arrangement. According to Pauletta, very few of those wishes can now be found in the recent proposal made by Undersecretary of Kingdom Relations Raymond Knops.
Today, during the interparliamentary Kingdom Council (Ipko), the Members of Parliament of the three islands want to know what the position of the Dutch parliamentary delegation is.
