WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao currently imports 160 million guilders per year in fruit and vegetables. Minister of Health, Nature and the Environment Suzanne Camelia-Römer yesterday presented a plan in which she wants to further develop local cultivation of fruit and vegetables.
Her aim is that fruit and vegetables will hardly have to be imported in 5 years' time.
Camelia-Römer presented her plans yesterday, together with the Ministers of Economic Development and of Traffic, Transport and Spatial Planning.
