Curaçao Government Invests in Professional Development

WILLEMSTADCuraçao is taking significant steps to enhance the professional development of its public sector workforce. Minister Shalten Hato of Administration, Planning, and Services officially signed an agreement today to continue the collaboration between the Government Academy and the SOAB LearningLab. 

The initiative focuses on improving the knowledge, skills, and competencies of civil servants at all levels, with the ultimate goal of structurally enhancing the quality of public services. The training program includes key skills such as leadership and customer service. 

The Government Academy and SOAB LearningLab will serve as the central coordination hub for this initiative. In 2025, the program, known as the Central Coordination Point – Government-Wide Training Program (CCP-OOP), will be further developed. It will include comprehensive evaluations and the introduction of innovative training sessions and courses tailored to the needs of government employees. 

During the signing ceremony, Minister Hato emphasized the importance of investing in human capital, describing it as the driving force behind an efficient and innovative government. This effort reflects the administration’s commitment to ensuring a skilled and responsive public sector that meets the needs of the community.
